I don’t know how many times I already had this idea in my mind.  I wanted to play with different geometric shapes & create a stop motion video about it.  I’m all for pastel and brights but since it’s the last week of the Tatt Awards 2014, we played with their colors: purple, orange & yellow!

Instagram Phenom of the Year Googlygooeys

Yup, my campaign manager, Mister Ponggo, made me place that ad of the Tatt Awards 2014.  Hehehe. If you still haven’t voted, please help the Googly Gooeys become the Tatt Awards 2014 Instagram Phenom of the Year by voting here every hour!
Above is the animated version!  I swear, I’ll try to continue seriously build our Vine account.  Either that or maybe I should finally come up with a unified hashtag for all our Instagram animations! Any suggestions? 🙂

By the way, for those who have been asking how these are made, click here.

Isocahedron Violet Orange Yellow & LilacOkay, back to the isocahedron.  I actually started the project with tetrahedrons & decahedrons and just thought they didn’t have much of a personality.  I also don’t know why I treat these shapes like people. Hehehe.  After finishing this project, I smiled.  I realized that it pretty much represents my three loves:

1) Colors
2) Greek Mythology
3) Math (Please don’t judge me.  I hate memorizing and at that time, this was the only subject that didn’t require that mind-numbing task of remembering random syllables and words!)

I’m always amused with the stories where the character from Greek Mythology tries all he can to avoid his fate but finds himself going to the original plot as it was intended to be.  Back in college, I got accepted in another university for Civil Engineering.  For me, it was a fusion of art, physics & math.  I didn’t have to worry about lengthy readings (or so I thought).  Anyway, my dad in particular convinced me to take up Management Engineering instead which is more of a marriage of math & business.  Well, I’m still grateful to have graduated from that course and all the things that I have learned thus far.  But, lo and behold, X years after graduation, I’m back to where I wanted to be, dealing with artworks on the side and doing a lot of measuring and computing for my day job!

With that, I’d like to conclude this blog post with this quote from Esther Botique:
“For what it’s worth, it’s never too late to be whoever you want to be.
I hope you live a life you’re proud of. And, if you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start all over.”

Isn’t it such a sweet quote?  It makes you want to cry (especially when you’re PMS-ing..Ehehehehe).

Hope you’ll get lots of time tonight to reflect on who you want to be! 🙂

XOXO,
Tipsy ❤

P.S. Don’t forget to vote The Googly Gooeys here every hour! 😀  Voting ends on August 3!   Our fate rests on your fingers! Hehehehe.
